It is located within the Esme neighbourhood of the Kartepe district of Kocaeli province. It was built in 1945. The narthex (last-congregation place) of the two-storey mosque was added after the 1999 earthquake. It was registered by decision no. 5544 dated 23 March 2000 of the Istanbul No. II / Kocaeli Council for the Conservation of Cultural Property.
