Editor's Note
It is located within the Baglica neighbourhood of the Izmit district of Kocaeli province. The mosque, said to have been built by Gazi Akcakoca during the reign of Orhan Gazi, is also known as the Cemetery Mosque because the area around it gradually turned into a cemetery through the burials made there. It is also called the Friday Mosque. The Izmit Municipality rebuilt the mosque together with its ablution fountain.
