Source: Hendek Municipality. The village of Seyhler takes its name from Sheikh Ismail Izzettin Efendi, who is buried in the village tomb. As Orhan Gazi was advancing towards Akcakoca, he stopped to rest a little south of Seyhler village. Sheikh Ismail Efendi of Konaklar village took it upon himself to feed the soldiers. He went to the camp and set before the soldiers food enough for only one person. Orhan Gazi grew angry at this, but the soldiers were already full and food was even left over, and in the same way the horses were fed too. In the face of the Sheikh's miracle, Orhan Gazi kissed his hand and asked whether he had any wish. Being humble, the Sheikh said he had none.
