Editor's Note
The exact date on which the Seyyid Huseyin Gazi Lodge, located on the summit plateau of the hill known as Huseyin Gazi, also called Tekkedagi, was built is not known with certainty. Detailed information about Seyyid Huseyin Gazi and his lodge has been given earlier (see pp. 153-179). According to endowment documents, it is known to have existed in the fifteenth century. In the fifteenth century, the descendants of Ali Bey, son of Kose Mihal (Gazi Mihal), one of Osman Gazi's companions, endowed the annual tax revenues of the villages of Bitik and Cimsid, now part of the Kazan district, to the Seyyid Huseyin Gazi Tomb.
