Editor's Note
The astronomy centre is located in the Misket neighbourhood of the Mamak district of Ankara province. Visits to the centre are by appointment only. It was opened to introduce children to astronomy and space and to inspire a love of them, fostering that enthusiasm through astronomical instruments, models of the planets, projections and similar displays. On its top floor there is a planetarium. The astronomy centre suffered a fire in 2019 and was damaged.
