The mosque is located in the village centre of the Günalan neighbourhood in Ankara's Gölbaşı district. According to the sign posted by the Gölbaşı Mufti's Office, the mosque was built in 1950. The mosque is of classic rubble-stone construction. Heavily used in the Middle and Late Ottoman periods, this style gradually declined during the early Republican era and eventually became rare. The mosque is one of the rare examples of this style, which was already in decline at the time it was built. The minaret, unusually, is made of brick, suggesting it was added to the mosque later. The mosque has a rectangular plan and a hipped roof. Its minaret has a single balcony.
