Editor's Note
A historic caravanserai in the Atpazarı area of Ankara's Altındağ district, near the main gate of Ankara Castle. It is known to have been endowed by Ankaravi Mehmet Emin Efendi, the şeyhülislam of his time. Dating to the 16th-17th centuries, it underwent two major restorations in 1791 and 1801. In the 2000s, having stood unused for a long time, it was listed by the World Monuments Fund among structures in urgent need of rescue.
