Editor's Note
During the Roman period, the city's infrastructure was completed, and water was brought through stone pipes from the Zeki Pınarı spring at an elevation of 1,386 m on Elmadağ (known in antiquity as Megaba) and distributed to the neighbourhoods (Mamboury, 2014). In his map titled 'The Historical Water Sources of the City', Özand (1967) traced the Roman water channel from the 'Roman Gallery' located just west of the confluence of Kayaş Stream and Kosunlar Creek, immediately west of the Kayaş train station, carrying it along Kayaş Stream and connecting it to the Roman Water Dam via Cebeci.
