Editor's Note

The five-block lodging buildings are a design by Giulio Mongeri. Built in a plain style, the buildings carry elements of the First National Architecture movement with their bays, wide eaves and the pointed-arch windows prominent in two of the residences. They stand on two blocks bounded by Süleyman Sırrı Avenue, Ataç 1 Street, Adakale Street and Sakarya Avenue. The block on the Süleyman Sırrı Avenue side has two smaller residential buildings set in a garden, while the Sakarya Avenue side consists of three larger buildings, again within a garden.
