At Çankırıkapı there was also a bridge of the same name, the Çankırıkapı Bridge (Demirköprü). The Arabic inscription of the ÇANKIRIKAPI Bridge in Ankara, which was built by Mehmed Bin Laçin in AH 777 / AD 1385 and stood at the start of the overpass now used on the way from Dışkapı to Ulus, is preserved in the Museum of Ethnography.
