Editor's Note
Its architect was Clemens Holzmeister. Built for the Austrian Embassy, the structure stands on Atatürk Boulevard, the avenue where most embassy buildings of the period were located, conceived as a major axis linking the northern and southern parts of Ankara. The building complex has a symmetrical arrangement, organised around a courtyard facing Atatürk Boulevard. The courtyard opens onto the boulevard through a monumental wrought-iron gate.
