Belvü Palas (French: Bellevue Palais, 'beautiful view') was one of Ankara's first modern hotels. For many years it served as one of the city's first-class hotels, hosting numerous important balls, political meetings and events. The German architect Bruno Taut prepared the drawings for Atatürk's catafalque here, working for three nights without interruption.
