The Arıburnu (Respect to Mehmetçik) Memorial stands on the Albayrak heights facing Anzac Cove, within the Gallipoli Peninsula Historical Site in Çanakkale Province. Designed by Tankut Öktem and opened in 1997, it depicts a Turkish soldier carrying a wounded Australian officer during the Gallipoli Campaign.
