The EGO Hangars were built for the Electricity-Gas-Bus (EGO) authority, established under the Ankara Municipality in 1928 to provide the urban amenities and transport networks prioritized amid the rapid urbanization that followed Ankara's becoming the capital. During this period a German construction firm built five vaults, each 60 m by 36 m and 12 m in total height. They were demolished in 2016.
