Karaoğlan Höyük is an archaeological mound located about 25 km south of central Ankara, at the southeastern tip of Lake Mogan. The area lay at the junction of the main trade routes running southeast and southwest from the Ankara region. Measuring 260 by 180 metres and 18-20 metres high, the mound sits along the Ankara-Konya highway.
