Editor's Note
The Etimesgut Boarding School was designed by Ernst Arnold Egli and built as part of the "Etimesgut Model Village Project" prepared in 1928. The building, whose construction was agreed upon by negotiation that same year, was designed to accommodate forty girls and sixty boys; in 1930 a teachers' lodge and a girls' dormitory were added adjoining its western side. Immediately recognizable by its sloping roof, the building sits on the crest of a hilly site next to the Etimesgut State Hospital, built in the same period.
