Located within the boundaries of Tulumtaş Quarter, Gölbaşı district, Ankara province, the Tulumtaş Fountain is an important rural water structure dating to the early 19th century. Built of cut stone, the fountain reflects the characteristic features of Ottoman-period stonework with its plain yet balanced façade arrangement. Its triangular-pedimented upper section, symmetrical façade conception, and simple layout with water spouts show that the structure was shaped with an aesthetic sensibility as well as functional use.
