Editor's Note
It is located within the boundaries of Hisarlıkaya village, Sincan district, Ankara province. It is a mosque with a rectangular plan, a hipped roof, and a wooden minaret. The pediment of the wooden minbar bears the date AH 1320 (AD 1902), while the northern interior wall and the area above the door bear the inscription "Nakkaş Mehmed Esad, year 1322 (1904)." Since a new mosque was built in the village in 1975, the building was closed to worship, and the calligraphy and decorations on its walls were later covered with white paint. The building's original wooden minbar and the wooden rosettes on its ceiling were moved to the new mosque. Its mihrab is of wood.
