The theater's cavea is 140 m in diameter and semicircular in form. Its ancient-Greek-style semicircular cavea sits on a slope commanding the southern shore of Mola Burnu, with a view over the sea. Although there is no definitive evidence on this point, the theater structure probably underwent some additions and renovations in the Roman period (Asgari 1982, 6). Some of the theater's seating rows and stones were later used in the 1890s for quay construction in Istanbul and, according to some sources, in 1932 for the construction of the nearby Çorlu State Hospital (Asgari 1982, 5).
