Editor's Note
Inscription: Muhammed Ağa, chief of the Saxons, performed this charitable deed, a fine work; on seeing it, O Sovereign, I gave the date: A pure draught, a fountain of Kevser (1122) (AD 1710). Address: It stands at Orta Cami Quarter, in the square where Yunus Bey Street meets Kılıçer and Tavanlı Çeşme Streets, sheet 24, block 80, parcel 75. Description: Having entirely lost its original character, the fountain is single-faced and belongs to the group of wall fountains. On the face of the reinforced-concrete-plastered fountain, a niche was formed with a curved pointed arch and a spout channel was opened; a tap has now been fitted to the spout channel.
