It was built in 1627 by Hasan Efendi, chief clerk of the sharia court. The mosque, of rectangular plan and built of rubble stone, has a timber interior. The part of its stone minaret above the balcony collapsed in an earthquake. After the repairs it has undergone, the mosque has lost its original state. The part of its stone minaret below the balcony is said to have collapsed in an earthquake before 1965. The mosque, in whose courtyard the grave of Hasan Efendi is also located, is open for worship today.
