A water channel running diagonally from end to end was discovered within block 2386, parcel 282, on Akik Street, Ortacami Neighbourhood, Süleymanpaşa district, Tekirdağ province. The side walls of the water channel are of mortared rubble-stone construction and are covered over with flat slabs. It is thought that this remnant was probably built to carry water brought from the Ada Stream in the Zafer Neighbourhood to the fountains of the old city of Rhaedestus, forming a water-distribution system large enough to meet the city's water needs.
