Editor's Note
It lies within the boundaries of the Barbaros neighbourhood in the Süleymanpaşa district of Tekirdağ province. This rectangular-plan fountain, with a single façade and three basins, was built of marble in AH 1214 (AD 1800) by İbiş Ağa. The inscription above the arched niche on its façade reads: "May the soul of Hasan together with Hüseyin of Kerbela be glad / The benefactor, the gunsmith's son El-Hac İbiş Ağa / Allah, Muhammed 1214." It was registered as an immovable cultural property requiring protection (Group 1) by the Edirne Regional Directorate for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage by decision no. 1699 dated 25 April 2014.
