Editor's Note
The fountain stands on the inner road within Çınarlı quarter, right beside the old plane tree, and is thought to be a relic of the Greeks. Built of stonework, it has five troughs. While the round-arched niche and the other four troughs once had running spouts, today the fountain has been plastered over, its spouts sealed, and the whole structure painted with white lime, so that it has entirely lost its original character.
