It stands at the Saraybayırı locality, about one kilometre northwest of the Şarköy municipal cemetery, on a sloping plot beside a field track. It is a free-standing fountain thought to date from the 18th to 19th century. Built by stacking rectangular flat sandstone blocks, the fountain rises to a triangular pediment at its top. It stands roughly two metres high. At the centre of the pediment is a circular niche, probably made to hold an icon. The fountain has two basins, both of which are now sealed.
