This site lies within the boundaries of Yörük village in the Malkara district of Tekirdağ province. It is a large cemetery area south of Evrenbey village, where, along with the standing stones, there are two cavalry (sipahi) gravestones dated AH 997 and AH 1004 that were evidently erected at the site later. The uninscribed gravestones, known as menhirs, are thought possibly to date to the early Ottoman period (14th century), though they may also be earlier graves belonging to the Avars or Huns. It is the only cemetery in Thrace containing sipahi gravestones.
