Editor's Note
This site lies within the boundaries of Alaybey village in the Malkara district of Tekirdağ province. In the cemetery, which is still in use today, menhir-type gravestones of green sandstone have been identified. Gravestones with turban finials and Ottoman-Turkish inscriptions have also been found in the area. It was registered as an immovable cultural property requiring protection (Group 2) by decision no. 913, dated 14 March 2013, of the Edirne Regional Directorate for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage.
