Editor's Note
Oriented along an east-west axis, the bath was built as a men's bath. The changing section has a rectangular plan, with an octagonal pool in its center. From the changing section, one passes through a pointed-arched opening into the hot section. The hot section is covered by a dome containing 24 elephant-eye (oculus) windows. From the hot section one enters the private halvet cells, which are also covered by domes. The dome transitions are pendentives. The building's water tank and furnace (külhan) are in the western section. Bibliography: [1] (2013).
