Editor's Note
It is located in the area between Gökçetepe village and Mecidiye village in the Keşan district of Edirne province. The wall remains of the castle, set in wooded terrain, are scattered about as fragments of rubble. It is thought to have been built of irregular cut stone and rubble stone. Numerous ceramic fragments were also encountered in the area. It was registered as a First-Degree Archaeological Site by the Edirne Regional Council for the Conservation of Cultural Assets through decision no. 2267, dated 25.03.2015.
