Editor's Note
It is carved into three large rocks on the hill northwest of Cavusköy. Into one of the rocks, the monastery's baptismal pool was cut so as to collect rainwater. The second rock is seen to have been carved in tiers. There are beam holes in the floor. The first rock outcrop was carved in tiers, connected by stairs, with beam holes cut into it. A large apse was also carved into the rock, and the remains of a wall attached to this apse can be seen. The surroundings hold abundant Byzantine ceramics and small tiered pools thought to have been used for crushing grapes.
