Editor's Note
From documents concerning the repair of the Ebu İshak Mosque, a register dated 1844 states that it stood within the mosque's courtyard, on the left side, toward the east. It was repaired many times and was rebuilt after burning down in 1764. It was still in use until 1845. Its remains now lie on the minaret side, within the mosque's enclosure wall. The building has not survived to the present day. (Source: The Early Period of Ottoman Architecture, Vol. 1, pp. 395, 461 – Ekrem Hakkı Ayverdi)
