Editor's Note
It was built in 1479 by Kara Ali Bey. The mosque has a rectangular plan that includes the main prayer hall and the portico (last congregation space). Its gable-walled façade, frequently seen in Bursa's mosques, takes the form of an opening with three arches. Its minaret, with its fluted brick shaft arranged as cavetto mouldings, its balcony, and its conical cap, resembles the minarets of a few other mosques in Bursa, but the finest example among them is found at this mosque.
