Editor's Note
The tomb was built in the mid-15th century by Sultan Murad II in honor of the religious scholar and mystic Abdüllatif Kudsi (1385-1452). Abdüllatif Efendi came from Bukhara, and because he reached Bursa by way of Jerusalem he was given the epithet "Kudsi," meaning "of Jerusalem." Arriving in Bursa in 1448, he played a vital role in spreading and establishing the Zeyniyye order in the city and founded the Zeyniler Lodge. When he died in 1452, he was buried in his tomb southwest of the Zeyniler Mosque.
