Editor's Note
It was built in the 16th century by Yakup Çelebi. The lodge and the semahane (ritual hall) stand within a large garden. Between 2002 and 2005, it was restored to be used as a cultural centre. The Karabaş-ı Veli Lodge currently operates as the Bursa representation office of the Foundation for the Research and Preservation of Turkish Sufi Music and Folklore. The lodge was built on a rectangular plan using the same construction technique as the semahane.
