Editor's Note
Ekeki Church is a 10th-century Georgian monastery in the village formerly called Ekeki and now Vişneli, in the Tortum district of Erzurum Province. Set in the Tortum valley in the historical region of Tao-Klarjeti, the cross-domed church of well-polished stone has three apses on its eastern side housing the altar, sacristy and deacon's room. The dome's neck and some window jambs are decorated with polychrome stones, while the doors and windows bear delicate ornaments, and traces of later remodelling can be seen.
