The Balkaynak Bridge, within the bounds of Balkaynak Village (formerly Hadırak) in the central district of Bayburt, lies about 50 metres north of the Gümüşhane–Bayburt highway, on the old Trabzon road, and is a two-arched stone bridge with depressed round arches built over the Balkaynak Stream on an east–west axis. Built in the rubble-fill wall technique using yellow and grey cut stone together with basalt, the structure has cutwaters and abutment shoulders between the two arches on both façades.
