The Krom Valley Bridge, within the bounds of Eskıkıran Village in the central district of Gümüşhane, is a single-arched, half-round stone bridge built over a branch of the Harşit River and taking its name from the nearby village of Krom. Standing on the route that connected Trabzon to the south from Roman times onward, the bridge served, especially from the 18th century, as an important part of the northern Anatolian caravan road linking Batumi to the south.
