Editor's Note
The floor of the Arsenal in central Niksar is covered with lime-mortared horasan (Roman cement) material. In the ceiling there is a ventilation shaft about 4 m high. The entrances have brick-built arched transitions. The wall thicknesses are 1.20 m. Its architectural character indicates that it dates to the 2nd-3rd centuries. Source: Niksar.gov.tr. Rough-hewn stone was used in the walls and vault of the cryptoporticus in the İsmet Paşa neighborhood (Fig. 16). Approximately 3.80 m.
