The mosque bears no inscription. Sources state that it was built by the Mengücek ruler Muzafferüddin Muhammed. Built in masonry, the structure has a nearly square plan (11.47 x 12.34 m). Coarse-jointed rubble stone was used for the body walls. The prayer hall is covered by a dome on an octagonal drum, carried by pointed squinches. On the north facade of the prayer hall is a three-bayed portico (last-congregation space), with the minaret rising to its east. The portico-style entrance space is enclosed on its sides.
