This church stands in the village center of Şaplıca (Licese) neighborhood, in the Şebinkarahisar district of Giresun Province. It was built in 1874 and dedicated to Saint George. The church has a rectangular plan and its roof has collapsed. A Greek inscription and the date "1875" can be seen on one of its walls. Now in ruins, it is used by the villagers as a coal and wood store, and it awaits restoration. The frescoes in the ashlar-built church have also been damaged or lost over time.
