The soup kitchen (imaret) is in a very ruined state, with its wing spaces and porticoed entrance completely gone. Although it can be understood to have been a building of the hospice (tabhane) type, the side-wing hospice rooms have collapsed, and only two spaces on the main axis have remained intact, covered by drummed brick domes with transitions provided by Turkish triangles. The hospice rooms must have been vault-covered. The building was constructed using stone and brick, with antique and Byzantine spolia in some places.
