Editor's Note
In 2022, an inscription in old script was found on the ceiling of the fountain's water channel, reading: "We made every living thing from water; will they still not believe? This water that has long flowed from here." Source: An Ottoman inscription was found at the fountain of the Lefke Gate in Bursa.
