The museum stands in the Akcay neighborhood of the Kizilcahamam district in Ankara province, beside Yarbasi Street, west of the Bercin Stream and east of the Yabanabat Mosque, at the easternmost edge of the town. It houses fossils and rock formations millions of years old, and admission is free. The museum occupies a square-plan building.
