The tomb is located within the Çağa neighborhood. It is said that Çağabey, known as one of the frontier lords of the Anatolian Seljuk beys, settled in the region and gave the town its name. The name of the tomb is thought to derive from this historical figure as well. However, it is clear that the present tomb structure was arranged by adding modern-period interventions onto the original mosque or grave structure. No inscription was observed around the mosque/tomb.
