Editor's Note
Sulu Han (Nasuh Pasha Inn), also known as the Suluhan Caravanserai. Located at the southern end of the historic bazaar, this building was commissioned in 1613 by Damat Nasuh Pasha of Gümülcine. Besides being a typical Ottoman urban inn, it also served as a way-station inn on the Ankara-Istanbul route. Now in quite a dilapidated state, the inn has been trying to come back to life through restoration work begun in 2007. On the date I took its photograph (05.04.2009), this restoration work was still ongoing.
