Editor's Note
One of the oldest mosques in Beypazarı, it is in the Seljuk style. The mosque takes its name from the phrase 'pür incila' in its repair inscription, meaning 'temple full of light.' Wedged right in the middle of the old bazaar among the shops, the mosque burned down completely in the 1883 fire. It was rebuilt and reopened for worship during the reign of Sultan Abdülhamid II (AH 1301) and underwent a repair in 1940. Built of cut stone on a nearly square rectangular plan, the mosque is covered on the outside by a five-sided roof and on the inside by a flat wooden ceiling.
