Identified within the boundaries of Selçik and Büyük Yenici villages, Lefke Castle was registered as a first-degree archaeological site in 2017. The perimeter wall, in places built of dressed stone but mostly of rubble stone, can still be traced, and architectural remains of the castle's settlement are situated near the western end of this area. Among these remains is a cistern roughly 8 by 9 meters wide and of a certain depth. Traces of plaster have been detected in some parts of the cistern walls.
