Editor's Note
For security reasons, Yıldırım Beyazıt settled his wife Hamide Hatun in Osmaneli. Together with Şaban Ağa, Hamide Hatun began building a mosque here, but both died before seeing it finished. The mosque was completed later. In 1550 it was renovated using materials left over from the construction of the Rüstem Pasha Mosque.
