Editor's Note
The clock tower on a slope east of Mudurnu was first built of wood in 1890-1891 and suffered a fire in 1900. In 1905 it was rebuilt by prisoners from the Mudurnu Prison using stones brought in from the surrounding area, and a clock made by a Mudurnu blacksmith was installed in it. The tower has a square-prism body measuring about 3.80 x 3.80 metres and stands 12 metres tall.
