Editor's Note
The only part of the complex still standing today is its bath, also known as the Mudurnu Bath. One of the remarkable examples of early Ottoman bath architecture in terms of plan and decoration, it was built right next to the mosque in 1382. On its marble door, arranged in three sections one below the other, are a single-line endowment inscription, then the construction inscription, beneath that a summary of the endowment deed, and finally, on the keystone, the architect's name. The bath's architect was Ömer b. İbrahim, who was also the architect of the Orta Bath built in central Bolu, likewise by Yıldırım Bayezid.
